Session 25: Winter Preparation & Multiple Vehicle Pile-ups
On Thursday, October 13th, 2022, SafeHighways.org hosted its 25th Safety Service Patrol Idea Sharing Network webinar. During this interactive session, SSP professionals discussed various methods and best practices on how to prepare for and handle multiple-vehicle crashes, particularly during winter weather.
This timely session explored how to avoid pile-ups, what to do during a pile-up, and after-action reviews. The session also focused on winter related advice such as preparing winter kits, communication tips and preparations that SSP Operators can do on their own.
